Just for accuracy's sake, "thousands of miles" would be well outside of Iraq. More like Copenhagen, Paris, Bishkek, Islamabad, etc. The article states 400km, which is just shy of 250 miles. And the furthest point in Iraq from the area attacked would be about 630 miles away.
