My parents grew up in communist Slovakia and the way they spoke of it, they idolized the ones who fought to escape to have a better life. And you're right the lockdown restrictions are out of control way worse than here. History repeats itself and any way to control the masses. I'm wondering if the lockdown restrictions has something to do with the millions of people protesting the corruption of the government over the death of those journalists a couple years back. If the citizens show they could get together for a common cause, it's a good way to ensure it doesn't happen again.
