It's a clear power grab.
People were burning down Portland and Seattle all summer, no one in power cared to do anything about it. My company's Portland office is in an area where it's not quite safe to go eat lunch. Homeless people bug them for food, it's filthy, 'activists' will confront workers because they look like someone with a job.
The people who went to the Capitol were mostly armed with flags, fannypacks and water bottles. A lot of them were grandma and grandpa-aged. So the people in power called out the National Guard.
Our politicians are not dealing with reality and everyone can see it. If they think they won't eventually have to pay for what they're doing? They're mental. Even Naomi Wolf, a former advisor to Clinton/Gore, was on Tucker recently. She was talking about how when governments take exceptional powers, they don't give them up without a fight.
All the former lefties with half a brain are bailing on them. They can't win, they think we're as dumb as they are and we're not.
