Trump's plan was to allow companies to create their own apprenticeship programs. Cutting out the gov and unions. Of course the Dems can't have that now can they!?

I do think there is a difference between a medical residency and a plumber however. I would argue that a hospital system should be able to create its own residency program, but I can see where some might differ.

You wouldn't be able to inject so much diversity (poos and jews) into the physician pool if the government boards couldn't allocate every last residency position. It keeps wages high for phycicians by limiting competition. A "libertarian" is supporting this.
