I was thinking it might be something Rand was asked about at some point. Considering he is a doctor it would be a relevant question for a reporter.
I absolutely agree. Asking it at a town hall would be very useful for understanding his real position, assuming he doesn't give the usual politician answer circumventing the topic entirely.
Labor issues like this just haven't been a big enough of a political issue as they should be. That's probably why we haven't seen much reporting (or what you want to call what the msm does!) on it.
I believe that it is by design. Allowing plumbers to test out of the apprenticeship requirement with written and field testing would be devastating to the goals of the (((trades lobby))). Similarly, allowing physicians to test out of the medical residency requirement with insanely difficult written and field testing would be devastating to the goals of the (((medical lobby))).
