Did the government ever lose it? Just try to do a private medical residency as a physician. You will get fucked by lawyers within a week of starting your clinic.
Trump's plan was to allow companies to create their own apprenticeship programs. Cutting out the gov and unions. Of course the Dems can't have that now can they!?

Neither can the Republicans. Rand Paul, a self admitted libertarian who is also a physician and senator, would never entertain a medical residency program operated outside the dominion of the government.
Has he said so?
I do think there is a difference between a medical residency and a plumber however. I would argue that a hospital system should be able to create its own residency program, but I can see where some might differ.
