Those who can't teach? Fuck you! How come you can read and write you ungrateful POS. Do you know there is a massive teacher shortage in the USA. Why. Low pay, high college degree requirement, responsibility for all aspects of the children YOU FAILED TO RAISE WHILE PERSUIING YOUR CAREER. Dis-fucking respect while pretending you care about education.
Again I say FUCK YOU teach your OWN DAMNED CHILDREN AND TAKE SOME FUCKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE POS YOU PUSHED OUT BECAUSE YOU FUCKED WITHOUT PROTECTION.
You want to be real WELL THERE IT IS. I'm qualified to judge b/c I've dealt with you worthless POS parents for 30 fucking years.
I could read and write before I even went to school because my parents taught me. I didn't need a high school dropout to teach me how to do that.
It used to be that teachers would have a university degree in the subjects they are teaching - these days the far majority of teachers are nothing more than glorified babysitters.
If you want to be treated with respect for your profession start making it a respectable one. Otherwise, shut the fuck up.
Woo. Looks like I struck a nerve.
Yeah, I don't have a great opinion of many teachers, especially the ones in public schools like I had. Like one math teacher who could teach trig but really didn't understand it. And it seems like teaching is becoming an isolated profession, where teachers aren't required to know any particular subject, just cram it into their subjects' minds, and keep their certifications up and their union relationships in place.
I don't have any kids. If I did, I'd hope I'd have gumption enough to homeschool them.
While who works to pay your bills?
Yeah, I can tell you blame teachers. There isn't much going on when it comes to logistics something we teachers teach b/c parents don't take responsibility for their offspring. They blame everyone else for their lack of integrity.
I'm not impressed with parents.
Obviously my wife would be working to pay the bills, you bigot. :-P
Waiting for you to reeee over this post and comment... https://poal.co/s/TIL/296794/16ba07d9-e4fb-4771-9469-cd4c32cab82d#cmnts
In Milwaukee Wisconsin more then half of the property taxes goes to schools. The schools budget is more then half of the Milwaukee co budget. People hate schools because it costs too much. On top of that teachers complain about low pay. Something doesn’t add up.
Where I work, the reinvent EVERYTHING on 2 to 3 year cycles. All new means lots of training and incompetence until mastered. Only after it's mastered can various pedagogies be identified to meet the standard.
Since they change EVERYTHING so often, nobody can master the curriculum long enough to build on various modes of learning in order to adjust input/output to student needs through scaffolding of instruction.
I’m saddened to hear that. Sometimes the best thing to do is leave a teaching position and let things deteriorate so that hopefully can be rebuilt some day. I think helping a broken system limp forward solves nothing. I wish you the best.
