Woo. Looks like I struck a nerve. Yeah, I don't have a great opinion of many teachers, especially the ones in public schools like I had. Like one math teacher who could teach trig but really didn't understand it. And it seems like teaching is becoming an isolated profession, where teachers aren't required to know any particular subject, just cram it into their subjects' minds, and keep their certifications up and their union relationships in place. I don't have any kids. If I did, I'd hope I'd have gumption enough to homeschool them.
