Which is why you always start with a letter or statement of intent, and have protest guards whos job it is to spot and throw out anyone that even *looks* like they'll make trouble. The statement is so if they setup the event organizers, you can rightly point to your statement of intent and say you had nothing to do with anything that went down. And also so everyone is clear, beforehand, explicitly, what the overall mission is. And the guards are to prove that you made the effort, and minimize the risk of anything actually happening. They also act as good go-betweens for on the ground forces like police, who aren't always in on the local city/council schemes, and thus, if anything DOES go down, you may unwittingly end up with witnesses that have an official sheen to them that can bend the public ear or alter the course of any trials that might result. Any 'rightwing' protest that doesn't do these things you can safely assume are a setup being run by the left and the state.
