put up a bunch of would-be bills that are aweful
blast the news out of these bills just being proposed. The effect is that people demand "where is the GOP to stop this?" and become outraged or concerned
Dem pollsters who work in rebuplican offices then tell the GOP "you're losing in the polls. DOOM!" (more common than you think - look at the dem that got caught committing ballot fraud for the left while working as a 'republican' in an a GOP office in texas)
republicans, thinking they're fucked anyway, roll over for their masters in the DNC
this feeds further into the disenfranchisement of their base, and subsequent splintering.

I called my Rep office and told them I’ll donate a few grand/campaign for their opponent next election if they vote yes on it. I’ve never done either before but this bill is an agregious over step.
