Myanmar/Burma has been a clusterfuck for centuries, don't let the relatively short period of British rule back in the day fool you. They've been fighting ethnic/religious civil wars there since ~600 AD. (Buddhists fighting Muslims) Even the Japanese got in on it during WW2.
The government that mostly ruled from the 1960s onward were basically Mao-type communists. They (((democratized))) less than 10 years ago and Western (((media))) propped up one of their puppets.

Was Burma ruled by Maoists? I thought their dictator made the country drive on the right because driving on the left was well...leftist. That's why Myanmar drives on the right.
