As opposed to the traditional “marry in haste, repent at leisure” idiocy, where "to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, **for worse**, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until **death** do us part" is the order of the day? Where one is foolish enough to marry a con-artist ( a shrew bitch or violent husband), or sick puppy (bedridden hubbie? wacko wifey?), and are now obligated to waste ones life in service to that commitment? Even murderers get paroled eventually, so the idea of marriage as 'death' sentence with no parole or pardon possible? No friggin' thanks! Wanna change divorce? Overhaul it so that it ceases to be a get-rich-quick scheme of gold-diggers.
