Psyop yes, CO not sure maybe? prolly not though
If it is a psyop, what is its purpose? Pacification of the population? If the purpose is pacification, why is Alex Jones, the MSM, and Congress (the dems) condemning QAnon? If this is a faction war, is there a scenario where the good guys need the population to be pacified while the bad guys want violent reactions? Which side wants to take away free speech and guns and which side wants to preserve the first and second amendment?
edit: classification -> pacification.
umm not sure if ur autocorrect changed some stuff there like did you mean pacification the second time too or classification?
The whole purpose with pacification is kinda obvious its like basically "trust the plan" meme, so when big things or even lots of little things happen the average person can be like "nah nothin to worry about because they're (Q) is fighting/revealing the machinations of the system from behind the scenes" so basically during important things when you should be speaking up and putting pressure and stuff, you don't. It feeds into sort of this mysterious need for us as humans to have a sense of control in our life and that isn't dissing conspiracy theories or anything because the difference between conspiracy theory and conspiracy fact is usually just like time and more evidence. The lizard people one is just plain stupid, inb4 "thats what they want you to think lol" but ones like flat earth even though they're laughable, they're still important because questioning the status quo is important annnnnnd i've gone off on a tangent sorry.
So yeah this mysterious need to have some sort of control of our lives and to make sense of the world is why psyops like Q are so effective. The adherents to it don't see it as Pacification, they see it as like all part of the plan. It reminds me of something called Psychographics:
What do you get when you combine behavioural science with big data and use the new Frankenstein hybrid to better influence people’s thoughts, opinions and desires? Why, psychographics of course!

as for classification, with the way big tech is and even with people who sorta eschew big tech and use non super surveillancy stuff, their devices still have for the most part, integrated back doors and stuff by design so the whole privacy thing is gone and they can be identified and classified as either a threat to the state or not. Classification wise hmm maybe people popping their heads up and saying Q stuff or other psyop stuff are seen as useful idiots, or maybe it can be used to identify potential threats; like those kinda people who are forming communities to talk about Q (or in other examples forming communities to talk about x topic etc, like the inflated holocaust numbers or the suspicious happenings of 9/11 or anything related to bilderberg etc) and those people are seen as a potential threat to their control, compared to the sheeple just going about their lives and stuff. That video i shared is from James corbett. He has done some amazing documentaries attacking the federal reserve, big oil, big tech, the MIC and of course, Bill Gates and they are well researched, well disseminated across the internet and prolly should be winning awards...yet he hasn't been silenced hmm. Is it because he doesn't do things like name the jew? or is it because he himself is being used as a useful idiot, getting lots of information right but unwittingly not pointing people in the right direction.
Take a look at two people. Edward Snowden & Julian Assange. Edward Snowden took classified information about some very serious stuff, responsibly gave it to Journalists and was able to evade a massive dragnet and then wind up in Russia, and not even in a gulag....his girlfriend lives with him and he's relatively comfy getting paid fee's from speaking engagements and endorsing products and services. Julian Assange, as we just found out did not actually release everything unredacted and repeatedly tried to warn the various U.S powers that be of what was coming to no avail. His life has been a continuous living hell.
Two people, two similar situations, two very very different outcomes. What does this teach us? That when we really threaten the elites, they come down hard. Another example: Burn Loot Murder riots for months causing billions of dollars damage, a whole buncha deaths and just general misery across an entire country=Not much happens. Buncha memers break a window and walk into the capital?= Ashli gets murdered, all of a sudden the FBI becomes useful again and starts rounding people up and muh white supremacist nazi's blah blah blah looks like patriot act 2.0 is coming and "bye bye Trump don't let the door hit you on the way out after we stole the election" perfectly planned misdirection that Trump was powerless to stop and instead of using people power to peacefully protest, the infiltrators were effective at getting the sheep to follow them into capitol buildings. It was very obvious that they had no clue what they were doing once they got inside but like as we have seen before in other protests, it often just takes a few glowies to be able to misdirect an entire protest (much like occupy wallstreets breakup with the introduction identity politics)
Sorry, a whole buncha tangents there but the point that i suck at making is that there is no "Sides"... or maybe a lil bit more accurately there is "them" and there is "us" They, republican, democrat (for america) all eat from the same trough-they are part of the elite. They might differ a bit on some things but they're basically Pepsi and Coke. They don't want you trying something else they're like well if you don't like coke, try pepsi and vice-versa. The Dems might be all lets abort our toddlers and the Reps might be like Nooo! and the Reps might be like, Love muh guns and the dems might be like Nooooo! but for many other things, they work hand in hand and their enemy isn't each other (except for doofbrains like AOC) It is US, the people who stand up even if you're a Q follower or not whether you're being psyop'ed or manipulated or not you're like.. poking ur head up amongst the sea of sheep but its important to know whether you are choosing to take the red pill, or someone is giving you a Burgundy pill instead.
Qanon gives people hope. Alex Jones.. thats another topic like another long post and 2bh he's a wee bit out my baileywick to be able to comment with certainty but i'd argue that Alex Jones is somewhat of a useful idiot himself-that's not to say he's wrong about stuff but he's kind of like a shiny binky:
look at the binky isn't it cute, calm down citizen, don't riot, look at the binky look, you get to know some info that "they" don't want you to know-'makes loud ahhhh noises' then gay frogs etc... no we won't talk about the actual cause we will do it for entertainment value and talk about gay frogs, wait so people might be more attracted to learn info if you make it entertaining? but still.. look over here.. look at the binky isn't it shiny? LOOK AT THE BINKY PLEB
In the end "They" want us either fighting amongst ourselves or pacified or basically both. They want us watching netflix, buying from amazon being satiated and dopamine fed so we are easy to control. Q was so effective because a lot of it seemed really believable...was...really believable and that was by design. Kinda like a modern day Nostradamus or even like a perfect horror scope that basically fits your really lame week perfectly (guilty of this uff) The government might have lots of blundering oafy buffoony moments of complete incompetence but when they put their focus to things properly they're very, very good at maintaining their control. It doesn't have to fall on a giant system to do this and me saying Q was an FBI psyop is kinda actually disingenuous coz it doesn't take the whole FBI or even uhh like departments or whatever to do it.. all it takes is a off the books, classified not spoken about not sanctioned kinda thing and basically infinite resources and $ and they are really good.
sorry if this is a giant mess of rambling, maybe someone can add to what i've replied or make it less blah or more focused but this is a really complex topic and your question was really sincere so wanted to give it some effort : )
Nice write-up dude!
The main issue is that we're being told "Q is bad" while at the same time getting told it's a psyop to pacify the population.
The best I can gather is that the Q thing is designed to allow a group to actually go in and take out their opposition (if that's good or bad is unknown to me). In other words Q is part of a faction (military), while the MSM/Congress/AJ/CIA are another faction. The Q faction benifits from a pacified population, while the MSM/Congress/AJ/CIA faction needs to keep the population from being pacified so they can pass more laws giving them the power to take out the Q (military) faction.
Q/Conservative violence (not trusting the plan) gives way to the narrative: "We need to control free speech and take away guns." - > More 9/11 type laws -> more surveillance and screening of military types to ensure obedience -> the end of the Q (military?) faction.
No Q/Conservative violence (trusting the plan) avoids above 9/11 type laws, keeps the population mentally primed for martial law (the military is the only way), and no major resistance to arresting the MSM/Congress(dems)/AJ/CIA faction.
As you point out and others point out, "Trust the plan" leads to inactivity (passivity). It's rational is "Everything is being taken care of." However, there's really not much people can do to organize to resist anyhow. The history of FBI infiltration and entrapment of groups trying to organize to resist (peaceful or not) always thwarts any meaningful change. Individuals going off the deep end only help the system of control.
The only meaningful way to act is to continue to expose the corruption. Believing in Q or not, the logical thing to do is to continue what started with the birth of the internet. This is the only thing that could be harmed by believing in Q. If you believe in Q, then you might stop waking others up to what is going on.
