There is no fucking way our governmemt is capable of being a health insurance company for the entire country. Look at the VA. Look at Medicare. Total shit services.
Then, look at what happens when a country with public health insurance has an economic decline. When countries are forced to cut costs because of a shit econony, health care is 1st on the list.
I have a good job, therefore, I have good health insurance.
Private market is better than a public one. I shouldn't have to pay for some alcoholic fat fuck that smokes and lives on a shit diet of fast food and pizza. I also don't think I, or anyone else, should be allowed to demand that alcoholic fat fuck change the way he lives his life if that's what he wants. That control is an obvious byproduct of a government run healthcare.
A number of countries had well functioning public health systems. Since going private they are well on the way to being unaffordable like the US.
Assuming the program is managed well
Why would you assume that, ever? Which present gov't services do you now find to be well managed? I personally enjoy the long wait times at the dmv and the indifference at the post office. Combining the two to provide necessary life sustaining treatments sounds wonderful.
Ive worked a few jobs for the state of Wisconsin... lol If you think government can manage a nations health care system. It would be the most inefficient operation ever.
