The founding of the USA was Minarchy, so no so pie in the sky. Jefferson himself said the founding documents weren't perfect but that they were the best in the time frame given. He believed they could be expanded upon to create a longer lasting Republic. Private ownership of firearms is one example of power spread out among peasants.
"Pie in the sky", I could say the same about what you speak of. You're basically the only person I've heard of advocating for that system. You're using terms like "radical" and "pie in the sky", they could easily be applied to you.

It’s been real; Orthodox Monarchy is rule by the anointed King of a nation, whose Crown has been placed on his head by the Church. It’s the Traditional Way of Christendom. It’s been the real, legitimate government of our people for most of our history. That no-one has advocated it in your circles is because it needs no advocate beyond Christ Himself.
