Excuse me, I should have just said Authoritarian.

I believe Minarchy is the way forward and that doesn't preclude Nationalism.

How, pray tell, are you going to get the technocrats to go along with this “Minarchy” ?

Using "radical" when you don't like something is pretty silly as many could easily call you a radical authoritarian. It's a sloppy descriptor with a negative cogitation.

Do you mean connotation ?

You're always going to get corruption, power corrupts. Those who seek power are generally bad people as well, it really seems to draw in the sociopaths, psychopaths and narcissists.

Yeah, that’s why you need some way to make sure the right people get power. One way to do this - the best way - is to make sure their power depends completely on a healthy society, producing many strong loyal sons.

So I'm not into a top down system that squashes liberty and tells people they need to live their lives one way or another under punishment of physical force.

What are you going to do, laugh them into submission ?

I don't see your system of monarchy as any better than technocracy. Fighting for liberty is basically the same in any situation, power needs to be in the hands of the peasants via firearms and other means and it needs to be fought for or it wont be held. Might does make right in the long run.

Yes

Once you have power within an oligarchy which is what monarchy inevitably is, the peasants don't get that choice and it becomes political.

Maybe using strong laughing gas, sure.

I don't see your system of monarchy as any better than technocracy.

Well, it is, because I’m Orthodox, and an Orthodox Monarchy is perfectly suited to the society my family regards as ideal - while technocracy is literally “rule-by-daemon” which regards people like me as a “problem” needing a “solution”.

What is your “minarchy” going to do to actually get power in the hands of the peasants? Sounds like pie-in-the-sky, to me. It’ll be pretty easy to get the Christian peasants to rally behind the man who effectively defends them against the advancing zombie horde.

The founding of the USA was Minarchy, so no so pie in the sky. Jefferson himself said the founding documents weren't perfect but that they were the best in the time frame given. He believed they could be expanded upon to create a longer lasting Republic. Private ownership of firearms is one example of power spread out among peasants.

"Pie in the sky", I could say the same about what you speak of. You're basically the only person I've heard of advocating for that system. You're using terms like "radical" and "pie in the sky", they could easily be applied to you.

Interesting talk, good day to you sir.
