Unions collect money from the members (dues are theft) and then do whatever they want with it. There is a semblance of "democracy" in voting for the leaders, but after that, the workers have no say.

You are exactly right. Union higher ups go to DC and jerk the Dems off and get their pockets lined and the actual union laborers get fucked. The union workers I know voted for Trump but the brass pushes Democrat.
