Well, to be fair, Assange was never really charged with anything yet. In order to actually pardon him, Trump what have to pre-emptively pardon him for a whole host of offenses and after that the Justice Department could just make something else up.

The fact that you're obfuscating details and pretending like it should be an open and shut matter tells me you are either a braindead, useful idiot, or an active shill yourself.

A pardon does NOT have to specify a crime; Ford gave tricky dicky (Richard nixon) a full and unconditional blanket pardon and never specified what crimes, if any, that Nixon committed:

The pardon of Richard Nixon (formally known as Proclamation 4311) was a presidential proclamation issued by President of the United States Gerald Ford on September 8, 1974. By it, Ford granted to Richard Nixon, his predecessor, a full and unconditional pardon for any crimes that he might have committed against the United States as president.

Well shit, I'm wrong.

I would say in Nixon's case he had the leverage of trading his resignation for the pardon.

Assange has no leverage. All he has is anonymous internet people nobody gives a fuck about.

Fuck I wish he would pardon him.

In all honesty there has been a bunch of misdirection, false stories and narratives that surrounds the Assange case. Who knows what is even going on with the guy? By that, I mean, is he even still alive?

I agree about the pardon, though. I'm not intentionally trying to be willfully ignorant, I just haven't been paying too much attention to his case in the past 2 years, at least, but couldn't he just give him immunity of all charges, past and present? Can he even do that?

He is still alive. There are photos from him in the last extradition case. It's up for appeal and he's still locked up. I hope the appeal isn't granted. They're not common in the UK. There is not right to appeal there.

Assange is not being dangled for anyone except the idiot media employees who have been taught they're reporters as long as they keep regurgitating Reuters and AP precensored garbage. Assange is wat happens to anyone who gets idea. Not that it matters; their bosses would never let them run investigative journalism.

This is North Korean government.
