I worked on a British crew for a year. They could barely understand each other and made fun of wach other for it constantly. They were all white they were just from different parts of England even though England isn't that big to begin with. The Scottish ones were actually the easiest to understand.

This isn't new. In college in the '90s I had a math class with an Indian professor whose accent was so strong I couldn't understand anything she was saying. I was already having trouble with the math and adding a language barrier wasn't doing anything to help, so I requested a transfer. When I told the school why they attacked me for being a racist. That was 30 years ago.
