The false assumption that is being made is that media companies are for-profit endeavors. THEY ARE NOT. They are there to control the narrative. They are judas goats for the people who consider themselves the left and the right.
CNN could get away with paying hosts tens of millions of dollars for a viewership that is lower than many car review youtubers, think about that. Is that a FOR-PROFIT endeavor?
Media companies judge success over their ability to control the thoughts of the people and Fox News has been successful doing their part to divide the country. Once they build up a sizable audience they trap the people who care enough about the country to dedicate hours a night researching the issues of the day, the ones who could make a difference, and placate them or mislead them to support ineffective causes (e.g. what QTards do).
Once fox news dies down there will be an alternative like OANN and they will SPEAK TRUTH TO POWER just like Fox News did. But when it comes time to address the JQ or reform the banking system they will go OH MY WE NEED TO SAVE THE FREE MARKET AND ISRAEL IS OUR GREATEST ALLY.
And the charade goes on...
