That may have just been the microphone not picking up the crowd. Different microphones work very differently and have different patterns and sensitivities.
I hope they acted like that though.
Too much echo picked up for it not to be picking up the ambient noise.
After my kids have gone to sleep (so it's quiet), I'll put on my reference headphones and take a listen after which I'll get back to you. What your saying is possibly valid.
Really? It wasn't the mic's fault, it was the certification of a fraudulent President in the middle of the nights fault.
Lauder, if you pay attention I bring attention to the fact that's it's possible. I did not say concretely one way or the other.
I know how mic's work. There different mic's have different technologies and pick up patterns, it in itself is a rabbit hole. If that mic is a dynamic mic with a cardioid pickup it would be unlikely to pick up much of anything except for him. Even if was a small diaphragm mic, having a cardioid pickup pattern which this most likely does based on it's application.. you might not hear much besides him. Mic's work very differently and pickup things very differently than human ears do. The closest you could get is a stereo set of diaphragm mics, omnidirectional patterned.
Like another user said, he thought the crowd would be mic'd as well. In that case what we are hearing would be closer to accurate.
Also a group of people agreeing or disagreeing with something doesn't make it a certification. Do I believe there was fraud? Fucking absolutely. Am I a lemming? No.
Chances are, any mikes would have been set up to pick up crowd cheers, it's part of the show.
