Where would be a 'safe' place to go?
I'm not sure, anywhere I can get to by sailboat off the gulfcoast, Yucatan, Belize, Panama... But I think we're all underestimating how dangerous here is going to get.

36-46 feet monohull*, 1-2 or 1-4 people, lots of safe ports in or and ca and on baja, then puerto vallarta, after that it gets sketchy until panama. Start looking at repoessions in marinas around seattle and tacoma. Shilshole was my old marina, spent many drunken nights at Ray's boathouse. See you on the other side.

I have, as far as SA, brazil is fucked and I would either need to go through the canal and risk columbia to get to eduador, peru or chile or make that long ass haul to uruguay. No good options, we'll see. Maybe we'll make a stand here. I doubt it but maybe.
