If you want to do it fast take the ASA 100, 104, 105, buy a boat and sail a lot. For the most part it's easier and safer than driving a car.

Well I don't think they will let me build this in a commie gulag but if we manage to dodge that shit I would love to build one of these In the future.

Cat's are a blast in warm weather, they're not great in rough seas like the PNW. And their a birch to moor in any working marina. But if you're ever in a beach town they have little 12' you can rent right on the beach and... they... are... fun. They literally go faster than the wind . But nothing beats a monohull close hauled, the power you feel... Have fun man. You and the wife should take . Make it destination trip!

Yeah my wife found the book online for the first one. She is balls-deep in a CG/CEG engineer geologist license test thing and I'm. Running a small farm, a small sawmill, building a 16' wherry from plans and getting the shit kicked out of me by a 2 year old. Good times. I'm probably going to do it eventually though. I'm going to finish my 16' wherry then make the 20' decked skiff from the same guys. If it works out I will sell them hopefully for enough for some of the materials to make something like this.

I have a 4000 Sq Foot high-bay shop on ag land but it is 50 miles on windy mountain roads from a coastal inlet. It would be impossible to get a big. Monohull there but if I could build up the 3 parts of the cat then put them. Together at the coast and finish it it would be doable. Thanks for the ASA stuff. I didn't know that was a thing.
