Being a single mother slut can only work when there is a welfare state in place.
Money for "dem programs", slush funds, and the evil power hungry sociopaths that abuse them, can only exist when there is pool of money collected from the public in the first place.
Lobbyists and corrupt pay for play judges can only exist when there's money for a publicly funded police force that will enforce weird, obscure and bullshit laws simply because that's what they're paid to do.
Remove taxes and fiat, and all the problems disappear.

Tradition is cohesion of society rallied around common beliefs, religious or otherwise. Contrary to this is to divide society. Social progression is the promotion of a neo-tradition, or worse a fluid tradition.
It is yet another way to divide us all.
