No one is going to do anything because too many people are still comfortable. There's too many people with housing, food and a way to get either. That's the problem. That's why there's bread and circuses. At this point, the violent response is the one they want - they'll crack down harder than they did in Tiananmen Square. And China will do what the Soviets did - throw bodies at the problem. They've got men they can afford to lose.

The problem we have is no one stood up and said "Hey, don't do that!" when we had the chance too. The problem we are facing with corruption (and I'm well aware that's just the tip) is it is a multi-generational problem. Whenever there's a "quiet/forgotten" generation, things seemingly take a turn for the worse.

Well I’m gen X too. I consider us to be the forgotten generation. We don’t get the blame the boomers or the millennials get.

I was deployed and none of us liked it at my unit. We all hated it for the fact that there was rumblings it was pulled out of a file and dusted off. It was too convenient.
