Thing is, bitcoin wallets and using onion ring were not mainstream - because "google + facebook" world was easier for most.

Now they have an incentive to finally explore what's there beyond the traditional monopolies.

You would need to do a bit of homework, but basically, start even with what I have mentioned above - and you would see how much could be done beyond the typical web stuff.
