I haven't used IRC for 20 years. Thinking of getting back into it. ircii under linux with screen so I can reconnect from anywhere. Should we setup a poal IRC channel; on EFNET? What are our options now.

Every time I mention IRC, I get a pretty negative response. Apparently, it's not anonymous or safe and I'm a fool for considering it, idk... I used to like it! Got the payed version of Mirc, back in the day :) you a cop?

Well, I can access IRC through my sdf.org membership, so my IP is essentially hidden.
