I haven't used IRC for 20 years. Thinking of getting back into it. ircii under linux with screen so I can reconnect from anywhere. Should we setup a poal IRC channel; on EFNET? What are our options now.

I'm not sure an IRC server would stand up a lot better than sites similar to Poal.

They are still going strong after all these years.

I think that's more due to the low attack value. Fewer use IRC, and fewer still are on any given server.

You can run a server on anything that can boot windows. Like 486 DX4100 on Windows 98.
