The virus is real. It is about 2½ times deadlier than the annual flu. It mostly takes out the very elderly who have additional health complications and were already at significant risk for the next annual flu.
Is that reason to shut down the entire economy for a year? Hell no.
Are there groups trying to take full advantage of this for either their political of financial gain? Hell yes.

It’s real. I’m a doctor and the hospital has lots of people admitted due to Covid or Covid+underlying medical conditions.
Covid nearly killed me in December. I’m 50, high BMI because muscular and fat. I got the Regeneron monoclonal antibodies and I’m convinced they saved my life. I was becoming hypoxic and the Regeneron turned a likely 14-day battle into the most intense 12 hours’ respiratory infection I’ve ever experienced. I’m strong enough to fight for a day or two. Strength isn’t my weakness- endurance is.
There’s a lot to say about this virus. Perhaps engineered (almost certainly), also almost certainly unleashed intentionally by CCP /CIA, but it definitely isn’t fake.
