Yeah, I saw an even shorter edited version of this video. I still say those police at the door shouldn't have moved and there should've been non-lethal riot control options deployed before they even got to the lobby doors. The way he was there with his finger on the trigger just waiting for a target, no warning, no placing himself between the assailants and the congressmen (who weren't in the lobby at that point, from what I can see), it's all wrong on both sides.
People breaking down the doors, that's fucked. But Capital Police going from scooting out of their way to opening fire from a peripheral shooting angle? That's like shooting a horse after leading it to the trough. It's slaughter, not self- defense.
i cut the cop behind the door some slack. they had chairs blocking that doorway. from what i can tell it was a last line of defense. he obviously didn't know the flood of people that were coming at that door. he drew a line and was not going to let anyone in. if that woman was a black BLM supporter or a islamists or chinese soldier, they all should be shot. We know better. We should be better. Ashli knew better, but let herself get caught up in that frenzy... i mourn her death, but don't blame the cop.
