I mean, that's literally exactly what you want the police guarding congress to do. What other actions were they supposed to take? Just allow those people to break through the barricade and then do whatever they're planning to do once they're inside? If those people had broken through the barricade and then injured members of Congress, what then? We were supposed to just let them through?....

This whole thing was ridiculously violent. It's amazing the police didn't kill more of them...

That's a good point, but unfortunately he moved to CA and changed all of his views on everything within like 12 months. So I think he's getting nonstop encouragment and reinforcement of shit ideas out there.
