Agree, dems aren't afraid. I just wrote to my Congress coward rep and let them know that I plan not to pretend to vote in elections for republicans anymore, that I will join the major branch of the uniparty (dems) since republican party is irrelevant. From within the dem party I either find the most conservative one or vote in the worst candidate one that will (in theory in a fair election) lose to a true conservative Republican. I also plan on then switching for general elections to go independent (or possibly LIbertarian, we'll see) so that uniparty knows they CAN'T count on me for votes.

that's an interesting idea, but one that I don't think holds the best long term advantage.

If your really want to toss a vote somewhere useful, get into third parties.

This is my plan vote in dem primaries vote for best conservative candidate (likely a republican) in general elections for next president elections, get the label for party as independent or libertarian

Benefits - Can try to argue that I shouldn't be put in the commie detention camps as I'm already a reformed dem

edit to add: Third parties is a good idea, a family member already jumped ship to third party

eh if they get as far as detention camps I'm going down shooting. I don't feel like blending in with them.
