It's been the better part of 5 hours since we have heard from him. A couple tweets before he was suspended but nothing else. He left his speech to walk to the Capitol. Did he evacuate with them? Where the hell is he? Any ideas?

Reading carefully it says "surrounded by the military who is 'helping them' by Pences orders". Maybe those national guard troops are military and Pence is fooled that it's his national guard call.

I think you interpreted that text right. It makes total sense. Pence has no authority to call in the NG. Very interesting. Wonder what they’re waiting for exactly.
