Damn, all disappointed there isn’t a large enough slave pool to be able to kick the worker that stands up for their rights to the curb. Do you know what I say about business owners? Fuck them. It’s a risk they take on and it’s not my responsibility to feel sad for them that they can’t find a satisfactory nigger to work for them.
Its ironic that the same view you have is also a major driving factor in people going into business for themselves in the first place.
Running a business is a risk, you are correct about that. At the same time, it usually takes starting at the bottom to realize if it's not what someone wants out of their life/career.
I think there is a measurable difference though between a business that doesn't succeed due to their own shortcomings and the government squeezing the life out it while simultaneously trampling on the rights of the people.
There are a lot of people who think they can probably do something like run a successful company that in reality probably can't. Thank God there is a system in place that would still allow them to earn a wage to support themselves and others though.
At the same time, props to anyone who takes a risk whether they succeed or fail, at least they faced that risk and took the chance.
The experiences I've had in my life have taught me a lot about who I am and what I wanted to do with my life. Had I not started in a less than desirable situation, I would not have been driven to where I am today.
Who knows what the future holds for any of us, people face misfortune daily at the drop of a hat. I try not to relish in other people's misfortune as it's very likely one day, I could find myself facing those same challenges.
Its all to easy for people to want to rip each other down these days, especially on the internet.
I’m not ripping people down, nor celebrating failure. I simply don’t feel as if I should feel sorry for them, nor responsible. I’ve seen multiple small business owners fail, yet they never seem to personally sink. However, I’ve seen multitudes of working class people promptly fired by their employers sink to the point of suicide. Yes, that’s a good reason for going into business for yourself, but not everyone has the means or ability to do it.
I come from a family that was about as poor as poor can be. Through hard work and a lot of sacrifice they succeeded in making their way in the world. The world isn't a fair place, nothing is given.
I worked for a financial institution during the last recession and watched as over 500 people got laid off from their jobs. They were literally taken out in groups to a parking lot, their belongings were boxed up by security and their key cards taken.
They got a two week severance handed to them and that was it for them. They we're not allowed to go back into the building or say goodbye to friends, nothing. Its not right but its the world we live in.
Just goes to show that for no fault of your own, even if you are successful, it can all be gone in a blink of an eye.
Don't get me wrong, I agree about your sentiment when it comes to not being responsible or feeling sorry for businesses that fail. However, even when you run a business, this current climate is a perfect example of how through no fault of their own, their livelihoods can evaporate just as anyone elses.
I also wasn't pointing to you specifically regarding the ripping people down thing. I was just stating that in today's world, it's all too common for people to celebrate the failures of others.
Nice reply. Thanks.
