Except for the fact that the call was related to litigation and was confidential. The issue isn't that he recorded the call, the issue is that they leaked the call.

So they're actually making stealth recordings legal because the person doing the recording consents, obviously. If they wanted to stop it they would make it illegal unless all recorded parties consent.
Also, the presence of third parties to a conversation waives any attorney client privilege.
One-party consent isn't so bad. Just put in a single word as part of the conversation, and you're good
