Not being able to pay for the debt of an education is an indicator of the value of the "education".

"Loan Forgiveness" is a euphemism for "Print money to pay the debts of middle class college graduate failures". It will further remove price pressure, which will 1) increase tuition and 2) further reduce the quality of higher education.

They're so educated yet don't understand basic economics. Btw I make enough to pay a large tuition each year yet never set foot in a college and was trained on the job, I know someone in my family with a loan debt and theyre not even employable in the real world. Hard to endorse loan forgiveness when its coming out of productive peoples asses one way or another.

Any college debt relief should involve quotas by major and by GPA. The quota for gender studies majors to get their debts relieved should be zero.

You don't understand the issue. No one is paying our debt. Your taxes don't even come close. Simple question, do you want our educated to be in debt servitude to the banksters, or the federal govrnment which is already their bitch?

I use the term educated loosely. If they were stupid enough to take on the debt then I do not give a shit about them. I will give you an example. I have a family member that overextended himself for decades by buying new vehicles. Now he finds himself in economic dire straights. He shit in his bed, he can sleep in the shit.

If you don't make your car payments, they take your car, give you bad credit, and that's it. If you don't make your house payments, they take your house, give you bad credit, and that's it. If the debts get bad enough, you can file bankruptcy, then they take whatever, give you bad credit for 7 years and that's it. No wage garnishing, no lifetime debt.

Student loans. If you default, they charge you penalties and fees that must be paid before you can pay the interest and principal. Its a federal debt. You cant get out of it thorough bankruptcy, and they take your tax returns and garnish your wages until everything is paid off, even if it takes your entire life to pay it.

You're comparing a default on a car loan to a default on student loans, and there is nothing similar about it. Millions of Americans are facing a life of debt servitude that they can't escape.

They chose to go to a University or were told by their boomer parents to go... They learned no skills and can't even get a job in retail or hospitality because their brains are warped. They now owe 100k+. Parents and student are equally responsible. Fuck that nonsense

It used to be that a degree, any degree would open up possibilities. I knew a History major that worked in Quality Control. THe market is saturated and companies can import warm bodies on an H1B visa.

They were told by their parents and their schools that the only way to get a decent job was to go to college. They were given massive loans that some will never be able to pay, and once defaulted, owe almost as much in fees and penalties that must be paid before the interest and principal. They can't bankruptcy out of it and their wages and tax returns are taken until its paid, sometimes for the rest of their lives.

But go ahead, buy Billion dollar missiles to kill Israel's enemies and let millions of fellow Americans spend the rest of their lives in debt servitude cause, muh fairness.
