Yeah no shit she was mentally ill, but being mentally ill doesn't excuse a person from a crime unless they were actually so ill they were unable to determine that the action was wrong. Even then it doesn't excuse them, it just means they need to be kept in a psychiatric ward for the rest of their lives. Not sure anyone with half a brain thinks being in a rubber room for 60 years is better than death. This is just more of the lefts near religious belief that only straight white men are truly responsible for their own negative actions.
