The best way to punish a socialist is to let them suffer the effects of socialism - without subsidies from non-socialist to bail them out!

All brains & capital will flee away from socialism, and the difference between real America and the urban commie shitholes will be like South & North Korea, West & East Germany, etc...

Let them denounce each-other for not being "anti-capitalist" and "anti-racist" enough, and "redistribute wealth" until their children die in their arms from starvation, and they resort to cannibalism - like many other communist regimes throughout the 20th century...

Then, maybe, if they've learned their lesson, we may take them back - under a new Constitution that greatly limits Federal powers. We should have hundreds of states, all competing for brains and capital, and a Federal government limited to defending the borders.

A lot of us live in Republican areas inside commie states. I'm in (where ), Ocean County (), NJ. That's why we need secession based on local vote (county, municipal, even down to neighborhoods and precincts) rather than whole states. This map crudely approximates what that might look like. If anyone lives in the commie-dominated areas, this is yet another reason for you to move!

[...] protected from foreign invasion [...]

There would still be international defensive alliances like NATO, ANZUS, FPDA, etc. Some newly-independent former US states would choose to remain in those, and new ones can be formed. The sole legitimate role of Federal government was preventing foreign aggression, and defensive alliances can do that even better.

[...] the surge of migrants who are not there to make the country better [...]

If the newly-independent city-states of NYC, South Cali, Chicago, Portland etc want to further ruin their economy with unlimited low-IQ immigration, that is their loss. It wouldn't affect the newly-independent freedom nations (red on that map) any more than the current immigration policy of Mexico. They would no longer be able to tax outside of themselves to subsidize it. All businesses, brains, and capital would move out even faster. Having to deal with economic reality (without being bailed out by a Federal government) forces localities to be less irrational, including encouraging merit-based immigration and limiting the Welfare State.
