In the US, the massive majority of homeless are drug addled and mentally ill. Giving them a free apartment, at taxpayer expense, isn't the fix. It might work great for a country with 20 people, but not for one with 350 million.

Difficult. What most people fail to mention about the US's homeless is that for the majority of them, it is choice. Those lazy fucknuggets actually want to be homeless.

I have very little interactions with homless. one, i live in a semi rural little town, second i live in northern ontario. homless people die in winter if they stick around here

I live in semi-rural southeast. Much fewer homeless here, but I do travel a lot. Would like to amend my original comment by saying that the homeless-by-choice crowd tends to be more isolated to the west coast (along with Colorado); homeless in other parts may stem more from socioeconomic factors, but in the end even those factors largely stem from poor life choices. I'm not unsympathetic to those, and think work and housing programs should be encouraged, but there needs to be a shown effort; no outright gibs.

Kek, not a boomer. Have you ever actually talked to west-coast homeless people before? I have, and homelessness is almost universally a chosen lifestyle among them.

If you just have white people you can alleviate a lot of suffering.

Mental hospitals, homeless shelters, training don't cost that much compared to billions for Israel and makes things better for everyone.

You don't want to have to walk by disturbed people on the street covered in their own shit.

Then you can get a little tougher about things like welfare where people are really abusing the system but generally whites don't do it in great numbers.
