There is no free money. Governments are pushing the bill onto their taxpayers. This pile of trash adds $4B for Navy weapons, $1.4B for Asia Reassurance Initiatives Act, $700M to Sudan, $500M to Israel, $250M to Palestine, $25M to Pakistan for gender programs and says it’s for economic relief for Americans. Americans get nothing from this but a giant economic burden. No thanks.

$3.3B could very well be the total in grants and “aid.” I just saw some line about “no less than $500,000,000 to Israel for...”

They are hyper-inflating our currency as well as attempting to eliminate the middle class and all government independence. “Give me liberty or give me death” is a fine slogan; but I feel more like “Freedom, regardless of consequence” is the way forward.

Everyone in gov is pushing the foreign aide. Because it's basic communism. From us according to our ability, to whoever according to their need. You do have empathy don't you, White man? There's a small chance that in a not so distant future, the entire political class gets shafted, regardless of party lines

The democrats support base isn't exactly super happy about their party, there's a huge disconnect between the street and the party leadership's ambitions. There's as much of a divide as there's with republicans and their support base

I was watching a video yesterday were a guy was ranting about the fact that, if ever was an opportunity to advance medicare for all (which is one of the main long standing democrat battle horse), it was during the covid crisis. And what they noticed is that the democrat party's leadership not only didn't cease the opportunity to forward their agenda, but blocked any move in that direction (which doesn't come as a surprise to me since they are phonies, just like the repubs. When they push medicare for all it's only to rally their support base, and forward yet another wealth transfer scam under false pretense, nothing more)

The government shut down businesses. You can't shut down everyone's businesses then go full libertardian when it is time to send relief. I get he was also probably against shut downs but at some point reality has to come into play.

It's not the $600 part that I find outrageous personally

If anything, as you pointed out, it's justifiable; the gov orders people to shut down their business, it calls for compensation, for the damages inflicted to those businesses. Now 600 bucks is a joke, it's pocket change, you're only going to buy a couple of sandwiches and cigs for a month with this, and that's about it

No, it's the foreign handouts included in this "stimulus package" that I find totally out of place, especially toward rich states such as israel. Israel isn't exactly a third world country and even if it was that's not an excuse

In the meantime there are people who got put out of work and need to eat and the government is funding them through expanded unemployment.
