>The quality of homemade coffee is consistent and exactly what you desire
"Homemade" coffee's quality is whatever powder I can grab and put in hot water quality. The coffee machine happens to have better powders and a junkfood machine near by that comes handy when everything is closed, but I digress
Anyway you're missing the point, this isn't about coffee
It is about coffee. You shouldn't drink it in the first place, its a drug and drug dependence is no good. But if you're going to use drugs, you should at least be financially responsible about it. If by "powder" you mean grounds, then you can afford way more of the highest quality grounds when you buy them as grounds from the store rather than as already prepared coffees.
No it's about reliability
Those machines, the coffee machine and the voting machines
They haven't been designed with reliability in mind as top priority, obviously. And you know what? Maybe that turned out to be convenient for everybody involved except of course, the end user
Will you at least consider making coffee at home? You can get a coffee machine from a thrift store for $5 US.
