No. No. No.
Dumb, dumb, dumb.
I don't like Pelosi at all, but she's got rights to free speech. There are other copies of that speech elsewhere, it wasn't the only one.
The article even mentions this as the last lines! Bad political propaganda site! Bad!
Nothing to do with free speech.
Technically speaking, she violated 18 U.S.C. § 2071 which deals with the mutilation of official federal records & sets a criminal penalty of destroying documents of up to three years in prison.
Dems in congress voted to give themselves Prosecutorial Immunity.
No one should be above the law.
I agree in that no one should be above the law. I would also point out that it was only a copy, not actually an official document. Serious question: is a copy considered an official document?
Purely out of curiosity, do we need to pursue anyone who has ever recycled/thrown away a speech from previous years? Garbagemen, janitors, etc.
If Pelosi tore up a copy of the official document then I have no problem with it, other than her behavior. If she tore up an official federal record she should be charged with it and forced to explain her actions to a jury. If they acquit her, that's it then.

Nice strawman, but she's not a Janitor, and it was not her job/concern to destroy official documents (copies or not).
