Author's link to Trump is poor writing to hook people in, but detracts his point, which is that Federal help for coastal dwellers subsidizes their living in risky locations, for which they should have carried private (flood/storm/wind) insurance, but the Feds bail out in FEMA loans and National Flood Insurance programs.
It's bullshit. I feel bad these people lose their homes i really do. But i pay for flood insurance they don't but get the same benefits from my tax dollars.
That's why most people don't prepare. Like your post yesterday about food. Nobody bought extra food because uncle Sam will come to the rescue
One day it won't happen, or won't happen fast enough, and riots... race war... cities will be permanently wiped out by arson fire and no insurer or developer will ever return
