I dunno why it’s gonna take weeks for a toxicology test to return his blood results. If you go to the ER they can have results in an hour or two.

Running specialized tests perhaps? I imagine if you go to the ER they have a short list of common things to check for, but with this guy they're going to have to run more tests that they usually wouldn't do (looking for every type of drug he could possibly be on for example).
