Hmm. Same thing happened in Puerto Rico and the government had to answer to the people. There's a huge difference though between NY's and PR's populaces though.

I know some intelligent and great puerto ricans that'll treat you like family. Can't say the same about NYC but I'm sure there are some good folk, what's left of, out in the sticks.
