He's not particularly big gov in my book
He is as big gov as pro war, read, not that much
He does/deals with what he has, he's a realist
And let's face it, reforming the megalodon US gov, reducing its bureaucratic size and scope, via conventional bi partisan political channels... Is going to take decades, and I'm being optimistic here, because that's starting with the premise that the so called deep state (the hybrid entity of public and private institutions ruling the country) isn't going to fight teeth and nails to prevent that from ever happening in any meaningful way
He's big on the police state. He's big on 'some' over regulation, i.e. federal ban on vaping...like wtf really?
I'm still a huge Trump supporter. You have to take the good and the bad.
He's riding a megalodon, that's how I see it
For the vaping thing... https://www.nytimes.com/2019/09/11/health/trump-vaping.html
>As vaping-related illnesses spread, President Trump and top health officials met at the White House to discuss ways to keep the products away from teenagers.
I don't see it as a bad thing personally, it's not because it's just "vaping" that it's ok to sell it like candies. Besides, how can you be sure the latest sub brand from china isn't yet again a fucking poison only different from the devil you know, but devil nonetheless
Now for the police state.... Well it's there, it's part of the deepstate defense/war on shit business
While I'm not certain that it is what he's doing , I can see why it's not a good idea to starve that beast (the war on shits) entirely overnight. It might bite.
As it is, the whole deepstate/gov stuff, is a giant heroin addict
It's not about the vaping being bad or good. It is about the federal government deciding for you. He should have said it was a state's right issue and left it at that.
I'm excited for his second term. I really hope Republicans get control of the house. Without Paul Ryan fucking it up, we might get stuff done. I'm still pissed Obamacare wasn't repealed.
