The day I learned foxconn and samsung and johnson & johnson factories were colsed in china as a result of the virus outbreak https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/china-closes-foxconn-johnson-johnson-and-samsung-factories-amid-virus-outbreak
I knew all I needed to know about this shit, regarding consequences on global growth, imports exports, and everything essentially
Again, there's a potential to checkmate the whole open borders/open immigration and globalization crap here, politically speaking, with this crisis
It might very well turn out just unpracticable for a while... 4 months at least like that without vaccine... And even if the vaccine comes up we know coronaviruses have the particularity to turn worse when confronted to vaccines... So it's potentially a dead end anyway... So you have to come up with an alternative.. Being relocation of industries, because delocalization of the industrial base is no longer profitable because of the new constraints imposed by the virus
Protectionism de facto makes a come back, nationalism too
Ideally that's what we want
Thanks for all the info it's very impressive stuff you've collected. This is just a for instance, it's just one of the things I grabbed when I was out today. And I'm going again tomorrow for more. Just to make sure I can last if things get that bad here. https://pic8.co/sh/fbddtZ.jpg I figure the worst comes and I get sick at least I'll be able to hydrate and eat while things are shut down. I just ate up all my old stock and it's time to restock.
I stockpile canned food, tinned sardine mostly and veggies, and dried food like soops and mashed potatoes
I know it's not ideal, but it's rather cheap and last for a while https://duckduckgo.com/?q=tinned+sardines+chili+pepper&iar=images&iax=images&ia=images
Sardines ftw
That actually made me laugh. Picked up extra dried beans and rice today. And I go to another place tomorrow to grab sardines, no shit. They're super cheap there. Canned goods and non-perishables inbound here again tomorrow. I had a bunch of stuff that was all due to expire around the same time so I ate it all up. Just kind of bothers me that I'm talking to people and they just don't seem to care to stock up on anything for any reason at all.
