They are infantalized. Basically emotional infants, drunk on the idea of their "rights." The more rights you give someone, or the more affirmations you provide ratchets them downward into a useless person without the perfect bubble environment. It's in all of us if we're not vigilant. Being aware of this is the key to waking people up. You can only wake these people up by grooming them back. If they have a friend that re-affirms their ideas, they sink back.
