I don't like 5G myself. I figure just go with fiber optic or ethernet cables (Cat 6) and such. It will come around eventually all the internet speeds and in many areas you can do just fine unless you live really out in the middle of no where.
I do just fine with my internet right now. I don't live in a major city and I basically have half gig (around 512 Mbps) internet. Don't need anything faster than that for a long time I want to say.
I'm not much of a phone guy though myself to as well and have a $115 phone or so.
