When pushed far enough, there isn't a world between crony capitalism and a planned economy

(I won't oppose communism to capitalism, it's a false debate, one is an ideology, the other an economic system)

What's a planned economy?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planned_economy

>A planned economy is a type of economic system where investment, production and the allocation of capital goods take place according to economy-wide economic plans and production plans.

Fancy way of saying perpetual .gov bailout for cronies. Because, who gets to choose what's those "economy-wide economic plans and production plans" are? Those running the show, aka politicians and their cronies. And who gets to decide where the capital is going to be allocated and what's going to get produced? The same bunch

...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crony_capitalism

>Crony capitalism is an economic system in which businesses thrive not as a result of risk, but rather as a return on money amassed through a nexus between a business class and the political class. This is often achieved by using state power rather than competition in managing permits, government grants, tax breaks, or other forms of state intervention[1][2] over resources where the state exercises monopolist control over public goods, for example, mining concessions for primary commodities or contracts for public works.

...

At the end of the day, labels aside, what's the difference?

There are none, it's a self serving oligarchy pretending otherwise

Crony capitalism is a corrupted Planned economy and they're all corrupt? Your cynicism exposes the truth again. Good shot Yoda.

Yes i hate when i hear people demonize capitalism. Most cases i hear of require the government to be complicit in whatever shady business is transpiring. I call it corporatism.

Leftists, for lack of better word, often call crony capitalism "late capitalism" or "late state capitalism" https://www.quora.com/Is-crony-capitalism-just-late-capitalism implying that it is the end result of capitalism given a long enough timeline. Notion which "rightwingers" often vehemently discard as "It's not real capitalism. It's a violation of capitalism". And evidently, leftists often end up retorting with a "so we can agree that all attempts at communism weren't real communism then..."

Both are partially right and wrong at the same time, IMO

You have human nature, front and center, and the best you can do with that, is to take it in consideration for what it is, and plan stuffs accordingly

We could argue all day long that this system is less evil than this one, or this one better than this one

Salvation isn't in the system, nor in the government or even institutions, widespread corruption overcomes any given system, guaranteed

Politicians, government employees, business men, ec... Don't pop out of another parallel dimension, for the vast majority they're born and raised in the very country they are looting day in day out

They are self serving pricks and "we" manufacture them

It's intent the problem, it's much more of a moral problem than anything else in the end, at collective and individual level

...

A couple of years ago I didn't understand what christians meant with "salvation is in christ"

Today, the more I dig the more I think I get what they meant by that
